 Term 2 Workshops 

 Contemporary Dance Workshops    

As well as being a lot of fun, these workshops will have the following benefits for participants:

• Increase fitness and mobility
• Development of confidence
• Development of skills in a range of dance forms
• Opportunity for creative expression
• Development of alternate communication strategies through movement
• Social networking with others interested in dance and movement
• Links with other community classes for those interested in furthering their dance tuition.
• Everyone (of all ages, abilities and experience levels) is encouraged to attend!

 Contemporary Visual Arts Workshops    

In Access Arts’ contemporary visual arts workshops, explore an innovative range of visual art forms including painting, drawing, clay and printmaking in this beginner workshop for budding artists.

 Drama Program    

The aim of Access Arts’ Drama program is to learn, develop and master the skills of drama. This program will benefit any participant who is committed and serious (not solemn!) about drama. All participants will be included and catered for individually and as a group throughout the drama program. All participants are encouraged to attend as many workshops as possible to obtain a cohesive understanding of drama and its many elements and forms.

 Drumming Workshops    

Nicole Perry facilitates this popular free drumming session.

Previous musical experience is not necessary. Access Arts’ drumming workshop increases self-confidence and enhances social skills, through simple musical action.

Drums are supplied and we also have hand percussion available.

 Brisbane Outsider Artists Studio    

BOA is a studio for artists who want to develop their visual arts skills to a professional standard. Before attending the BOA studio in Brisbane, members are requested to make an appointment with the visual arts coordinator to present and discuss their arts practice.

BOA studio is open two days per week. Artists receive professional development support, high quality materials and opportunities to exhibit in quality exhibitions.

 Important Program Notes    

• Please contact Access Arts if you need to access support to attend workshops or artistic programs outside of our program.
• If there is not sufficient regular attendance in a workshop, it will be cancelled.
• Monthly program updates are available in our newsletter.
• Workshop programs will be updated on our website and in our newsletter.
• All workshop fees include the provision of refreshments and a light morning/afternoon tea.
• If financial hardships are being experienced, some member concessions and payment plans are available. Please call Access Arts on (07) 3358 6200 to discuss your options for payment.
• Workshops will not run on public holidays.

 Community Showcase    

Access Arts will hold a Community Showcase as the culmination of the Term 2 Workshop program. More details will be released closer to the date.
