Access Arts Inc® - The Key to Success in the Arts

Access Arts is funded by Disability Services Queensland (DSQ) and must comply with the DSQ Quality Service Standards. In line with this system, Access Arts was audited by Global-Mark and received certification on 23 September 2007. Access Arts is having an audit review in September 2008 as part of our continued compliance with the Queensland Disability Service Standards. We welcome feedback and suggestions from members in order to improve our quality system.

You are invited to attend one-on-one interviews and/or be part of a focus group on Friday 5th September 2008 as part of this audit review process. The interviews are a relaxed, informal chat with our auditor from Global-Mark. You may have a parent, guardian, relative or friend with you.

This focus group is a process where an auditor and an auditor trained service user will facilitate a group discussion, and invite members to give their responses to questions based on the 10 Disability Service Standards. The aim of this activity is to gather evidence of how happy members are with the level of service at Access Arts and to create the opportunity to offer suggestions for further improvement.

This focus group is open to members from the greater Brisbane area who experience a disability and will be held from 10am – 12pm in the Stores Rehearsal Room at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Friday 5th September. No Access Arts staff member will be present in the room at the time of the focus group and members are encouraged to be open and honest. For this session we need around 15 members to attend. Upon your RSVP, Access Arts will send you an Audit Pack which will include further information on what to expect on the day, the Disability Services Queensland Service Standards and an Information Release form.
